Chapter Description

Established in 1985, The Garden State Chapter of ASHI is the original and most experienced home inspector organization in New Jersey. The mission of the Garden State Chapter of ASHI is to act as an agency through which home inspection companies and home inspectors may engage educational activities, having as their objective the improvement of the home inspection profession. As a Chapter of the American Society of Home Inspectors, this chapter strives to fulfill the mission statement of ASHI, which is “To set and promote standards for property inspections and to provide the educational programs needed to achieve excellence in the profession and to meet the needs of our members”. Led by a Board of Directors, the Chapter accomplishes this mission by delivering full day educational seminars and shorter seminars provided at our business meetings. The Chapter provides requisite continuing education credits, networking events, and ways to improve the way we perform our inspections.

Chapter Initiatives

• The Chapter provides at least 20 ASHI and NJ CE credits, including required NJ topics.
• The Chapter sponsors an annual Holiday toy / fund drive for a local Children's Hospital.
• The Chapter represents its members at the annual Tri-State Real Estate convention.
• The Chapter has Affiliate Members as a resource for its members and their clients.
