InspectionWorld Las Vegas Was a Huge Success
Thanks to everyone who participated in InspectionWorld
Las Vegas, which took place January 17-20, 2010 at Bally's Las Vegas. Total
attendance was 950. Nearly 70 vendors were on hand for the
trade show which represented over 100 booth spaces, and 45 educational sessions
offered a wide variety of home inspection topics. Check out a few conference photos.
Before the start of the conference, the ASHI Council of
Representatives (CoR) and the ASHI Board of Directors held their separate
regularly scheduled full-day meetings.
Also prior to the educational programming of the
conference, three pre-conference courses were offered - the New Inspector
Career Day, the Healthy Homes Specialist Course and the Home Energy
Professional Certification Course. A combined total of 65 individuals attended
these courses.
InspectionWorld officially commenced with the 12:00 noon
ribbon-cutting ceremony that opened the Expo Hall. Exhibits were open into the
evening and concluded with the Opening Reception.
The 45 education sessions were grouped into 5 concurrent
tracks - Inspection Essentials, Advanced Learning, Specialty, Diversification
and Business Management. All registrants had the opportunity to select courses
that would meet their individual state licensing requirements for CE credits.
In addition, all ASHI full conference and conference education registrants
earned 20 ASHI CE credits.
The 2010 ASHI officers and board were officially sworn in
during the Annual Business (do we want to give names) Meeting. Annual awards
were given at the business meeting and also at the President's Gala, which
capped the social activities of the conference.
On the first day of sessions, the day began with a
keynote speech offered by two representatives of the U.S. Department of Energy.
Planning will soon begin for the next annual conference -
InspectionWorld Atlanta, January 25-28, 2011 at the Atlanta Hilton.
